Application Fee: A $150 (Cdn) non-refundable Application Fee must accompany all applications for admission; applications will not be processed without this fee.
Admission to English Language Centre Programs
High school graduation with 6 years of previous English language study – TOEFL, IELTS or other test scores are accepted but not required.
English Language Requirements for Academic Programs
IELTS 6.0 (with no band under 5.5)
TOEFL 550 (with no section under 56)
TOEFL Computer Based Test (CBT) 213
TOEFL iBT 80 (with no section under 19)
Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (minimum “B”)
Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (minimum “B”).
Language Proficiency Index (LPI) score 4 or higher
Admission to Master Programs
Minimum “B” average in the final 2 years of a Bachelor’s degree.
Meet one of the following VIU English language requirements:
Completion of VIU's English Language Centre University Preparation Program.
A minimum TOEFL iBT 88 with no section under 20, or IELTS 6.5 with no band under 6.0, CAEL 70, or equivalents.
No GMAT or GRE scores required

Fee schedule (effective September 2015)
Academic, Career/Technology programs: $6,960 (CAD) per semester. Where programs require more than 15 credits per semester, or when students choose to study more than 15 credits per semester, there will be additional charges of $580.00 per credit.
English Language program: $4,900 (CAD) for 13-week programs; $2,450 for 6.5-week programs.
Trades & Applied Technology programs: $1,740 (CAD) per month, payable in full prior to commencement of programs.
MBA programs: $31,500 (CAD); $4,850 (CAD) for Management Foundation (Pre-MBA) program; books extra.
Post-Degree Diploma in Business Studies:$8,700 per semester (15 credits).
Co-operative Education: $1,740 (CAD) per work placement term.
